It is during the 20th century that the process of language acquisition highlights. Just to mention, Innatism, Behaviorism and Constructivist cognitivism and socio-interactionist are some of the theories that emerged. Regarding the implications of these theories on phono audiology, what can be said about the acquisition of language?
About the Innatism, it is considered the interaction as a space where children build themselves as a subject.
The Constructivism happens through the relation stimulusanswer and also by positive and negative reinforcement.
It is related to a “device” that is activated when the child is exposed to her/his native language. This is what is declared by the Behaviorism.
The Constructivism and its theory support the idea of cognitive development of the child.
